My name is George Sykes -- how convenient given the domain name! I am a lifelong resident of the area, graduated from SIUE with my Bachelor of Science in 1985 and my Masters of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1987 and am the founder of Wildfire Internet, a whiz bang software development company started in 1995.

One of my first Internet products was a set of websites focused on the local communities which make up the Metro East St. Louis region. Over the years, the sites have become some of the most popular search sites for their respective communities.
